Katie is mum to three children, all living with multiple allergies. Her family’s journey inspired her to create Free From Families so that no parent feels alone. Katie leads the charity’s vision, training, and community programmes.

Laurence is dad to Teddy, Brodie, and Aurora, and brings both personal experience of parenting children with allergies and professional expertise from his role as an Operations Director. As Chair, he helps guide the charity’s governance and ensures we remain focused on our mission.

Jade has worked in the charity sector for many years and was one of the founders of Stockport Allergy and Asthma Parents, the community group that grew into Free From Families. As mum to a son with allergies, Jade brings both professional expertise and lived experience to her role as trustee, helping to shape the charity’s vision and growth.

Racheal holds a degree in Childhood Education and works for Manchester Family Hubs, focusing on special educational needs (SEN). As mum to two boys, she combines professional knowledge with parenting experience, bringing valuable insight into inclusion, education, and family support.

Franceska is a primary school teacher with a special interest in maths, which she has led for many years. She also holds a degree in Business and brings valuable leadership and organisational skills to the board. Having developed allergies in adulthood, Franceska offers an important perspective on living with allergies and supporting children through her teaching role.

Clare works for Southampton Council in Early Help and brings extensive experience in safeguarding and family support. As a parent of children with allergies, she has a special interest in the link between allergies and mental health. Clare is also the founder of The Allergy Collective, a business that created a wellbeing journal for children managing allergies. She ensures Free From Families maintains the highest safeguarding standards while championing emotional wellbeing.
